TCS/Nine-Twenty Productions Announces
San Francisco author/filmmaker to co-host charity screening to benefit seven Bay Area Non Profits-July 29th at The SF.LGBT Center

Tony Wilkins Author of Telemarketing Success for Small and Mid-sized Firms ,The Single Person's Cookbook and executive producer of the movie The 'Mo Diaries co-host -An Evening of Charity. The event will take place July 29th at 6pm at the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender Center located 1800 Market street in the spacious Rainbow Room. The benefit will offer a screening of the critically acclaimed movie -The Mo Diaries, the filmmaker's first cinematic endeavor.
"After the nearly sold out 'Red Carpet Event' on April 29th I decided to make the final Bay Area screening ,a charitable event and was challenged with the opportunity to bring awareness to the organizations as well as the theme of my movie -which is human rights, relationships and gay marriage" . While this film may appeal only to the LGBT community the truth is that "you don't have to be gay to love this film" says Wilkins. There are several reasons for this. First, the message of the film is universal, touching on everything from the recent presidential election (filmed during the presidential race) to HIV/A.I.DS. awareness to relationships of all types,including-straight ,gay and bi-sexual. Second, the movie utilizes both actors and 'real people' to answer the question , why do we have relationships with certain people? "I want people to attend this film with no preconceived notions about marriage (gay or otherwise) relationships ,single or married people. We all tend to prejudge the dynamic of relationships. Straight people tend to have an idea of what the gay community is about and visa versa. Married (straight and gay) people sometimes feel that if you're still single at a certain age then there must be something wrong with you." So this movie sort of breaks down the stereotypes and shines a different light on relationships regardless of how you feel about them or where you are in one. The bottom line is that at the end of the day, we all want the same thing, to find love and be with the person of our choosing .The ticket cost is $75.00 and charities will receive 50% of the ticket sales from the evening which include the screening, a goodie bag(containing a copy of the soundtrack ),2 drink tickets ,appetizers and admittance to the after party. Amenities like copies of the movie, t-shirts ,coffee mugs etc will be on sale on-line and at the event. Donations to support the film can also be made at www.themodiaries.com and www.paypal.com.
